Our editorial standards.
Accuracy, clear attribution and respect for our readers.
These standards set out how Africa Rising TV approaches its editorial work and how readers can raise concerns.
Accuracy and context
Our aim is to check names, dates, quotations and material claims against reliable sources before publication. When information is uncertain or developing, we should make that clear. Headlines and images should accurately represent the story.
Clear content labels
News reports describe events and developments. Analysis explains their context and implications. Opinion expresses the views of its credited author. Articles and interviews explore a subject in greater depth. Media releases are supplied announcements from organisations and are identified as such; publication does not imply ARTV endorsement.
Paid or sponsored material should be clearly labelled. Event partnerships, speaker participation and commercial relationships relevant to a story should be disclosed.
Authors, sources and images
Articles should identify their author or originating organisation. Quotations should retain their intended meaning. Images should have accurate captions and available credits; illustrative or generated images should be identified, and archive imagery should not be presented as a current event.
Fairness and privacy
We aim to represent people fairly, distinguish verified information from allegations, and offer an appropriate opportunity to respond to significant criticism. Personal information should be handled with care, especially when children or vulnerable people are involved.
Corrections and updates
Readers can report factual errors through our corrections page. We review reports against the available evidence. Substantive corrections should be clearly explained on the affected article; an updated date should reflect a meaningful editorial change rather than a routine site rebuild.
Commercial and editorial work
ARTV also provides media production, event management and partnership services. Those relationships should be transparent where relevant to coverage. Advertising enquiries do not guarantee editorial coverage.
